‘South Indian Odyssey’ is the well-designed itinerary which gives you the chance to explore the amazing places in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu: Bangalore Mysore in Karnataka and Ooty and Kodaikanalin Tamil Nadu. During this tour you will explore the glorious history of Mysore while exploring the various spectacular architectures of the region. Along with that you will also explore the Ooty which is located on the foothill of Nilgiri, on the height of about 2,240 meter above sea level, it is the most beautiful hill station, located in Tamil Nadu. It is one of the most picturesque place renown for tea and coffee plantation. Apart from this you will also get an opportunity to explore one of the most beautiful hill station in Tamil Nadu, Kodaikanal in Tamil "The Gift of the Forest", located on Western Ghats. En-route towards Ooty to Kodaikanal you will also get the chance to explore towards Coonoor, where you will visit the major sightseeing’s of the city. You will also explore the Silicon Valley of India, Bangalore, which is the capital of Karnataka state.
Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival in Bangalore
Upon arriving at the Bangalore Airport, meet our representative, after welcome, transfer to your hotel. It is also known as Silicon Valley of India, Bangalore is the capital of Karnataka state.
Once you reach Bangalore check-in to your pre-booked hotel. Rest day is free at leisure, you may explore the nearby places. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 : Bangalore Sightseeing
Today after breakfast, proceed sightseeing in Bangalore, you will explore the major tourist attractions such as Vidhan Sabha, a government edifice built in Neo Dravidian style; Lal Bagh Botanical Garden, Tipu’s Palace, belonging to the popular ruler, Tipu Sultan, this palace reflects Mughal architecture and Bangalore Palace, built in Tudor style.
After sightseeing, return back to the hotel. Evening is free at leisure, you may explore the markets of the city, where you can buy some authentic handicrafts. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3 : Bangalore-Mysore (By Road-145 Kilometres)Sightseeing
In the morning after breakfast, drive straight to Mysore.On the way visit Srirangapatna- the capital of Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan. Visit Tipu's Palace that is now in ruins, Gumbaz- the burial chamber of Tipu Sultan, his father Haider Ali and mother Fatima Begum and lastly, Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, known as Dariya Daulat Palace.
Once reach Mysore, check-in to your pre-booked hotel. Take rest for a while. Post lunch enjoy a sightseeing tour of Mysore including Golden Royal Elephant, Brindavan Gardens, Mysore Zoo and the Durbar hall. Have your dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 4 : Mysore Sightseeing
Post breakfast; explore the Maharaja Palace, also known as Mysore Palace or the Amba Vilas Palace-official residence of Wodeyars, the royal family of Mysore. Afterwards, visit the Nandi or Bull temple at the Chamundi Hills-a temple dedicated to Nandi (Bull), the vehicle of Lord Shiva. The next visit is to St. Philomena's Church-one of the oldest churches in India. Back to Mysore for visiting the Mysore Zoo. Overnight stay.
Day 5 : Mysore-Ooty (By Road-160 Kilometres) Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed to Ooty, Located on the foothill of Nilgiri, on the height of about 2,240 meter above sea level, it is the most beautiful hill station, located in Tamil Nadu. It is one of the most picturesque place renown for tea and coffee plantation.
On the way, visit Bandipur National Park, which a major wildlife reserve of the southern part of India. Explore the wildlife here.
On reaching, check into your pre booked hotel. Rest for a while. Post lunch, proceed for sightseeing tour of Ooty. During the tour you will cover some major attractions of the city such as Botanical Garden, Ooty Lake, Doddabetta Peak, apart from this you will also get an opportunity to shop at the local markets of Ooty. After sightseeing, return back to the hotel. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 6 : Ooty Sightseeing
Post breakfast, proceed for the tour of in and around Ooty, including Koddandu Point, Ketty Valley, Lamb’s Park, Tea Gardens, Dolphin’s Nose, Rose Garden, Avalanche and Sim’s Park.After sightseeing, return back to the Ooty. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 7 : Ooty-Kodaikanal (By Road-254 Kilometres)Sightseeing
You check out of the hotel in the morning after breakfast and head towards Coonoor. Enjoy the major sightseeing’s of the Conoor, cover the major attractions such as The Tea Gardens, Sim's Park, and Dolphin's Nose Military Campus Willington.
You further drive to Kodaikanal, and on reaching there you check in at the hotel. You’re your dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8 : Kodaikanal Sightseeing
Post breakfast, proceed for the Local tour of Kodaikanal that takes you to Kodai Lake, Coaker's Walk, Silver Cascade, and Bear Shoal Falls. Evening is reserved for shopping.
Apart from this you will cover some other major attractions such as Silver Cascade Falls, Bear Shola Falls, Golf Links, Pillar Rocks and Green Valley View. After sightseeing, return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 9 : Kodaikanal-Coimbatore (By Road-172 Kilometres)
